SunShare Program OptionsIn order to better serve you with renewable energy programs, TEP is transitioning from the Environmental Portfolio Standard to the new Renewable Energy Standard and Tariff Programs. These new programs offer you more options to install renewable energy production equipment on your home or business with a financial incentive provided by Tucson Electric Power. We are currently in the process of revising this Web site to provide full information on these new programs and their benefits to you. However, while we are in this transition period, we provide a limited set of information in the form of applications listed below. If you want more information, the full set of Web site pages should be available by May 13, 2008. If you need additional information prior to that time, please contact us at GreenWatts@tucsonelectric.com.
All options may potentially qualify for federal and state tax benefits to further reduce the initial cost of the system. Click here for a copy of the Arizona Department of Revenue's brochure detailing solar energy tax benefits (.pdf format). A federal tax benefit may also apply to a renewable energy system. Talk with a tax professional about the tax incentives available. ATTENTION -- There's no better time than now to purchase and install a solar system. Check out these state and federal tax incentives.
(In 2007, the Springerville Generating Station Solar System (SGSSS) produced more than 7,636,536 kWh of electricity, making it the most productive solar array in the Western Hemisphere! You can view current [live] production data from SGSSS here.)
